Today I bring one of my favorite recipes: pumpkin cream. I love eating it every week, especially after dinners or large meals. It is perfect for losing weight in addition to incorporating a large amount of nutrients such as vitamins and mineral salts.

Pumpkin is the base of the recipe. However, it can be combined with a large multitude of ingredients, achieving very different flavors. You can combine pumpkin cream with apples, carrots, zucchini, curry, orange or cheese.

You can also use different textures. For example, consistency is a key factor in these types of recipes. If we make it thick we will have a pumpkin puree. Removing consistency we will have a cream.

Pumpkin cream recipe step by step

  1. We clean the pumpkin by removing the skin and the central part (where the threads and seeds are located). We cut it into cubes.
  2. Peel and cut the onion into julienne strips.
  3. We peel the potato and cut it into square pieces.
  4. We put a little oil in a pot and add the cut onion. It is important to add the onion first as it takes longer to cook.
  5. Once it is a little golden, we add the potato and pumpkin.
  6. We pour the 5 glasses of water and let it boil for about 20 minutes.
  7. After approximately 20 minutes, when the vegetables have softened, add the cheeses and blend with the blender.
  8. We serve the dishes and add salt to taste.
