Recipe for chistorras with white wine
Today I want to bring to this cooking blog a recipe that I discovered relatively recently when I was with some friends having a drink in a square in my city.
We ordered some chistorras with white wine along with some more tapas. Turns out, I loved this dish and decided to replicate it at home.
Chistorras in white wine is a dish that stands out for its simplicity and authenticity. Chistorras, a type of fresh sausage, become the protagonists of this preparation, filling the dish with their tempting aroma while they are simmered in an exquisite white wine sauce.
Chistorras in white wine are perfect both as a main dish at a family meal and to surprise your guests at a special gathering. Their versatility and unique flavor make them an irresistible option for any occasion.

Ingredients
- The first step is to cut the chistorra into smaller pieces to make it easier to eat.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add a little olive oil.
- When the oil is hot, place the chistorras in the pan and cook them for a few minutes until they are lightly browned on all sides.
- Add the 150 milliliters of white wine to the pan with the aim of partially covering the chistorras so that they take on the flavor of the wine.
- We add a bay leaf to the pan to give our recipe an aromatic touch.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook the chistorras in the white wine for approximately 5-10 minutes.
- We make sure to flip them occasionally so they cook evenly. It is important that we see a considerable reduction of the wine that we have added, although there will always be a little liquid from the wine and the fat that the chistorras remove.
- During cooking, the white wine will reduce and mix with the juices of the chistorras, creating a delicious sauce.
- We verify that the chistorras are well cooked and tender. We can do it by pricking them with a fork to make sure they are not raw in the center.
- Once the chistorras are ready, we remove the bay leaf from the pan.
- We put the chistorras on a serving plate and pour the remaining sauce on top.
- We serve hot chistorras in white wine as an appetizer or as part of a main dish.
