Broccoli salad recipe with avocado, apple and carrot
Today's salad contains one of my favorite vegetables, broccoli . I love it not only for its flavor but for all the nutrients and benefits that this vegetable has. In addition, it can be used in a multitude of cooking recipes. It's very versatile!
There are many variants of this type of salad. The main ingredient is broccoli, but apart from we can add all types of vegetables, greens and nuts . We can also try different dressings.
This recipe is the combination of ingredients which I personally like more. However, I often change the lemon juice with yogurt or Caesar sauce, put almonds or walnuts instead of raisins, or add pieces of bacon or cheese.

How to prepare a broccoli salad with apple and avocado
- The first step is to cut the broccoli florets so they can be cooked later.
- We fill a saucepan with water and put it over high heat until it boils.
- Once the water is boiling, add the broccoli pieces. We can also cook broccoli in a steamer or in the microwave. We wait 5-10 minutes until it softens a little, but is crispy. We reserve.
- We take the carrot and cut it into cubes or grate it. We also cut the onion into julienne strips. We save.
- We cut the avocado in half and with a spoon we remove the meat from inside. We reserve.
- We open the red pepper in half, clean and remove the seeds from inside. We cut it into small pieces.
- We cut the apples and save the pieces. I prefer to leave them with the skin on, but if you prefer you can peel them.
- Once we have all the ingredients cleaned and cut, we add them to a salad bowl or bowl.
- We add the handful of raisins and sweet corn.
- We add a splash of oil, a splash of apple cider vinegar and a little salt. Alternatively, we can add lemon juice, which is also very delicious.
- Finally we put a little grated cheese on top and serve.

I like to add all kinds of nuts such as hazelnuts, almonds or walnuts to this salad. The dressing also usually changes. We have seen the option of lemon juice or a simple dressing made from oil, apple cider vinegar and salt.
