Tuna, lettuce and tomato salad recipe with mayonnaise

Today I bring one tuna salad recipe with lettuce, perfect to accompany summer meals. Whenever I can I like to prepare a salad as a starter before the main meal. They are very light, healthy and very tasty dishes that combine well with everything.

exist many variants of this salad, We can add any vegetables or vegetables that we like. The main ingredients are tuna and lettuce. From here you can let your culinary imagination fly as much as you want!

How to make a tuna salad with lettuce

  1. To begin, we wash the lettuce, remove the leaves in the worst condition and cut the rest into small leaves. We reserve in a bowl.
  2. We wash the tomatoes, and cut them into four pieces each. If we have chosen Cherry type tomatoes, we cut each one in half. We add the tomatoes to the bowl.
  3. We cut the onion into julienne strips. If we prefer we can cut it into slices or rings. We add to the container with the rest of the ingredients.
  4. We open the cans of tuna and drain the oil well. This step is important because, if we do not do this step well, our salad will be too oily.
  5. Now we prepare the vinaigrette that we will add to the salad. In a container we put the ground pepper, olive oil, lemon juice and a pinch of salt.
  6. We stir the mixture until it is very homogeneous. We add it to the bowl with the rest of the ingredients.
  7. The vinaigrette option is to prepare the tuna and lettuce salad without mayonnaise. On the other hand, if we prefer to prepare the salad with mayonnaise we can add a little bit.
  8. We serve the salad and we can now enjoy a healthy starter.

How to prepare a tuna salad with potato and lettuce

  1. We wash the lettuce or the lettuce combination. If we have chosen to buy a variety package of lettuce we will not have to cut. However, if we have bought whole lettuce, we discard the raw leaves and cut the rest into small pieces.
  2. We put water in two different saucepans and leave over high heat until it boils. One casserole is for the green beans and the other is for preparing the hard-boiled eggs.
  3. We peel the potatoes. We recommend using a potato peeler as it will save us a lot of time preparing the recipe. Once peeled, we cut them into medium-sized pieces.
  4. Once one of the pots boils, add the round green beans and let them cook for about 15 minutes.
  5. We open the cans of tuna and drain the oil inside well.
  6. We put the 2 eggs into the other boiling saucepan. It is important to add them carefully since with the change in temperature they can break a little. We waited 10 minutes.
  7. We wash the tomatoes and cut them into halves.
  8. We take a bowl, put the lettuce first and then the rest of the vegetables. It is important to distribute the ingredients throughout the bowl in such a way that it is well presented.
  9. We add a handful of black olives on top.
  10. Finally we add the oil, the ground pepper and a pinch of salt. The quantities will depend on each person's taste.

How to make a tuna salad with avocado, lettuce and mayonnaise

  1. We wash the lettuce or the lamb's lettuce (we have chosen lamb's lettuce for this recipe)
  2. We add water to a saucepan and leave it over high heat. We will use it to prepare hard-boiled eggs.
  3. We cut the lettuce. We put the lettuce or lamb's lettuce in a salad bowl.
  4. We peel the cucumbers. It is advisable to use a vegetable peeler as it will greatly speed up the process of making this dish.
  5. We cut the cucumbers lengthwise and then finish by cutting them into cubes. We add to the bowl with the rest of the vegetables.
  6. We cut the avocado in half, remove the stone, remove the meat from the inside with a spoon and cut it into cubes. We add into the bowl.
  7. Once the water boils, add the eggs and let them cook for 10 minutes.
  8. We open the cans of tuna and drain the oil to prevent the salad from being too oily. We crumble and add to the container with the rest of the foods.
  9. After 10 minutes. We take the eggs out of the casserole, tap them a few times to break the shell and peel them. Once peeled, we cut them in halves. We place the halves inside the bowl.
  10. Once we have all the salad ingredients inside the container, we move them if necessary to improve the presentation.
  11. Next we add a splash of olive oil and a pinch of salt. If we prefer, we can prepare the lettuce salad with tuna with mayonnaise (preferably light mayonnaise to avoid adding many calories to our salad).
  12. Now we can enjoy this refreshing salad perfect for summer!

Tuna salad with pineapple and lettuce

Preparation of the pineapple salad with lettuce and tuna

  1. We wash the lettuce, remove the weakest leaves and cut it into julienne strips. We add the leaves to a salad bowl.
  2. We wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them into halves. We add the halves into the container next to the lettuce.
  3. We take the pineapple, we cut it widthwise and we cut each of the halves into medium-sized slices. Next, we remove the surrounding skin and cut it into even smaller pieces. We add to the salad bowl.
  4. We wash the apple. Optionally we can remove the skin. However, I like to leave the skin on as it gives an acidic touch to the salad which I love. We cut it into pieces and add them to the container with the rest of the salad ingredients.
  5. We take the Brie cheese and cut it into pieces. We put them in the salad bowl.
  6. Finally we add a splash of oil, a little apple cider vinegar and a pinch of salt.
  7. Now we can enjoy this tuna salad with pineapple and lettuce in the most Hawaiian style!
