Italian burrata salad

Burrata salad recipe with tomato, avocado and basil

Salads are ideal dishes as starters. They tend to be healthy, light and easy to prepare.

Today I want to present you one of my favorite salads to accompany with pasta or pizza. Its origin is Italian and it has the peculiarity that its main ingredient is burrata cheese. This fresh cheese has a very mild flavor, quite similar to mozzarella, but with a creamier texture.

We can combine this recipe with many different ingredients. We have decided to add honey, pesto sauce and sesame seeds. But you can add other ingredients such as dried cranberries. Let your imagination fly! If you like salads you can't miss it our lentil salad with rice and tuna , summer pasta salad with mayonnaise either our tuna salad with lettuce .

Burrata and tomato salad recipe with avocado and basil step by step

  1. Put all the washed and well distributed arugula leaves in a salad bowl.
  2. Peel the avocado, cut it into strips and spread it over the basil leaves.
  3. We wash the cherry tomatoes or normal tomatoes. If they are cherry cut them in half and distribute them in the salad bowl. If they are normal tomatoes, cut them into pieces and also leave them well distributed.
  4. Place the burrata cheese ball in the center of the salad.
  5. Now we can add everything we like to give more flavor to the salad. We have chosen a tablespoon of honey, a handful of pine nuts, sesame seeds, a little extra virgin olive oil and a touch of salt.
  6. Optionally we can add pesto sauce that will give the final touch to our burrata salad recipe.
  7. We already have our salad made, enjoy it!

I started cosmorecipes in 2020 during the time we were cooped up at home. Having so much free time I spent a lot of time in the kitchen trying different dishes. So I decided to mix cooking with my other great passion: web programming. That's why I decided to open this blog where I post the different recipes that I'm cooking.
