How to make yogurt cake

  1. The procedure for making yogurt cake uses the size of the glass to add the ingredients in exact quantities. In a bowl we add the natural yogurt. If you prefer, it can also be lemon (I use natural and then add lemon zest). We reserve the yogurt container.
  2. We add the 3 medium-sized eggs, one size of the yogurt container of olive oil and 2 sizes of white or brown sugar. We beat all the ingredients until we obtain a more or less homogeneous mixture.
  3. In a separate container we put the 3 measures of pastry flour yogurt along with the yeast envelope. We stir well. We preheat the oven to 180 ºC.
  4. We add the flour and yeast mixture little by little into the bowl with the rest of the ingredients. While we are adding we are stirring everything well. At this point, we can optionally add a little lemon zest. We mix everything.
  5. We spread the mold where we will bake the cake with a little butter to prevent it from sticking to the walls of the container.
  6. We add the cake dough into the mold and once the oven is hot we put it inside. The cake will take about 35-40 minutes to cook. It is important that during the first 30 minutes of cooking we do not open the oven as the temperature could drop and the cake could deflate.
  7. After 30 minutes we can check how the cake is. We can use a toothpick to stick it inside. If it comes out clean, the yogurt cake is ready.
  8. We take the mold out of the oven. Let it come to room temperature for a few minutes and unmold the cake.
  9. We can add icing sugar on top as decoration. Sometimes I also like to put some Nocilla or Nutella type chocolate on top. But this is up to you.

I started cosmorecipes in 2020 during the time we were cooped up at home. Having so much free time I spent a lot of time in the kitchen trying different dishes. So I decided to mix cooking with my other great passion: web programming. That's why I decided to open this blog where I post the different recipes that I'm cooking.
